I don't know how the "read more" is created, but when you add the teaser of a panel node, it don't show the "read more" link.

It is probably the responsibility of the node_view that provides the teaser to set the readmore link which is ordinarily set by core when it splits the teaser from the body. Since panel nodes don't do that I bet we're simply not setting $node->readmore = TRUE when we return the teaser.

just added:

$node->readmore = TRUE;

After the line 245 at: you modules/panels/panels_node/panels_node.module

Do you think that this could be added to next release? (i don't quite understand the cvs architecture and politics).

I'm having this same problem. I just created a new panel node and each pane is a teaser for another node. In the settings I checked the box: "Include node links for "add comment", "read more" etc." but the "read more" link isn't showing up. Any help is appreciated!

I had to read this about a dozen times before I figured this out.

The problem is that #6 is a different question than the original post. This is a lesson to all that when you re-open an issue, please be sure that the issue you're re-opening is actually you're issue.

In this case, it's probably simply that the node you're putting into the panel node does not have a 'read more' link because Drupal is not giving it one. Drupal ordinarly provides a read more link only on nodes where the teaser is different from the body. That's not Panels related at all.

Reverting to original status. Please do not discuss #6 in this issue. If you insist, you can open another issue.

just wanted to mentioned that I solved my issue as my nodes.tpl.php was messed up (so not panels fault).

Whoops, really sorry about that. I'm very much a newbie at all of this and was trying to be careful not to create a duplicate issue. In any case, your response cleared up what my issue was so thank you!
