When I try to apply the rounded corners style to a pane within a panel page, I get the following error.
The selected file /web/mysite.org/www/sites/default/files/tmp/fileFa04kj could not be uploaded, because the destination is not properly configured
But the file being referenced has being uploaded to the tmp directory that is at the path specified. I can't see anything related to the files configuration that could be off (permissions etc.). The only thing I see about permissions is that the files themselves are set to 600, which is different than the parent directory or anything else in the files folder.
Is this a bug? Any tips on other places I should look at my files config?

merlinofchaos commentedRounded corners is trying to create temporary css files in files/ctools/css -- it's possible that's what that error means, though it seems really odd to me. The error itself is internal to Drupal and I'm not sure exactly where it comes from offhand, but that's a place to investigate. See if the css file that it is trying to point to shows up.

sagannotcarl commentedSo the tmp files themselves are indeed the css for the rounded corners, but I do not have a files/ctools/css folder in my site's files directory. Is there module-specific files directory you're talking about or was I supposed to create a ctools folder in my regular files directory?
Thanks for the info.

theusualsuspect commentedSorry, changed status by mistake....
sagannotcarl commentedIf I create the directories ctools/css in the files folder, I now get the following error when loading a page with rounded corners.
No files are being created in the ctools/css directory.
merlinofchaos commentedThis means your webserver can't write to the files directory. You need to make sure permissions to this directory are correct. You do not need to create the ctools/css directory, it would've created that for you, but it must not have been able to.

sagannotcarl commentedAlright, I did have to make the ctools/css folder and change the owner/permissions. Now everything works.
I'm assuming that the folder was supposed to be created when ctools was installed (rather than trying each time it needs it). I'll try and test to see if the ctools/css directories are being created when ctools is installed when the files directory has the correct permissions and file a separate bug if it's not.
Thanks for your help!

merlinofchaos commentedRight now the folders are created when needed, not on install. This normally isn't a problem.
sagannotcarl commentedGot it. So I tried deleting the ctools and ctools/css directories, changed permission on my files folder to 777, and then loaded the page with the rounded corners, and the ctools/css directories were still not created.
Clearly all of this server environment stuff is not my strong point so I couldn't really go so far as to file a bug on this since it might be something else really obvious on my end. But in case this is useful to you or anyone else I figured I'd give the latest update.
