the autocomplete field of the "add existing content" doesnt work anymore (nothing happens when typing)

after updating

panels (7.x-3.3+48-dev)
panelizer (7.x-2.0+27-dev)
jquery update (7.x-2.3+15-dev) -> i tried with all version of jquery, no luck
chaos tools (7.x-1.3+5-dev)

what might be the cause? how can i find out which script is in conflict?
