I have scoured around the issues & requests and can't find any reference to the fate of version 1.1 panels when upgrading to 2.

Am I correct in assuming they become distant memories or is there a way to keep using them.

Panels 1.2 is basically unsupported even now; I don't have the time to work on it.

You'll be able to continue using Panels 1.2 for as long as it works, but there isn't likely to ever be another release of the Panels 1 line.

Upgrading your existing panels isn't too difficult, though if you have custom layouts or advanced theming it will require tweaks.

Thanks, I'm eager to move to v2 and take my old panels with me. I don't seem them in any of the v2 lists. Is there a comment you can point me to that will get me going on the upgrading process?

Be sure to activate the 'panels pages' module.
