merlinofchaos commentedWhat do you mean when you say template builder? That's not a term that's used anywhere in Panels.
fold93 commentedI mean the Layout Designer thingy.
In the panel layout column you can choose builders, that's what I mean.
When I try to add a row or a Column it says that I don't have the permissions to do that and the window which opens then loads forever.
(yes I am logged in as an administrator. :p)
merlinofchaos commentedIt might be best if you give me exact steps to reproduce the problem and the exact messages it gives you. Unfortunately, your use of technical terms like 'thingy' is making it hard for me to understand exactly what you might be doing and seeing.
merlinofchaos commentedOh and to answer the second question, yes it's easy to add layouts (they're not called templates, which is part of the problem, templates have a different meaning in Drupal) by creating new layout plugins. If you google for "create panels layout plugin" you should be able to find several articles on the topic.

fold93 commentedReproducing is easy.
It appears whenever I edit an existing or create a new panels page and choose the layout "builders", click continue and then have the raw layout. When I now try to add a row or a column it gives me this error that I don't have the permission.
Everything works fine when I use the pre-built layouts.
merlinofchaos commentedOk, there's a known bug that the flexible layout itself doesn't work correctly during layout selection. If you accept the default layout, then go to edit content, and modify your layout there, it will work.
See #1524668: An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 403 (Panels)
This bug was introduced when the layout selector actually started showing the layout to allow you to move content around. The problem has to do with backend caching that doesn't exist during layout selection, and it's very hard to fix. The workaround is actually easy to do, it's just not at all obvious. Sorry about that. :(
Comment #7
fold93 commentedProblem is, i don't get any error message by ajax.
I've made a screenshot of what i get when i try to add a row or a column or anything in the layout designer (doesn't mather if its a new site or im trying to change the layout for 2-colum to layout designer.)
When i press OK the window which popped up just loads forever giving no error message at all.
Sorry for german but im from Austria. Translated it means: You don't have permissions to acess that site.
thanks for helping a beginner anyway :)
merlinofchaos commentedChange the layout to flexible. Leave it with just one region. Save it. Go to edit content. Then press the "layout designer" button. It should work from there.

fold93 commentedAhh so i missunderstood your instructions above.. yeah works fine. Thanks alot!
