I have been striving hard to make this work.I have created a custom panel page with the page url as taxonomy/term/%term/content-type/how-to. So i have this via pathauto url Vocab : Category Parent term: food Child term : pizza
After setting up the panel page when i go to www.example.com/category/food/pizza/content-type/how-to it gives me 404 error(page not found).
And when i manually set up a custom panel page for each url(for e.g www.example.com/category/food/pizza/content-type/how-to) it is working fine.
Can you guys point out whats wrong with taxonomy/term/%term/content-type/how-to url ?

Letharion commentedMost likely the same problem as here: #1230238: Page not found for newly created Panels page. You don't assign the parameter to a context.

kawal commentedI dont think this issue is related with the one you posted link of.
I can create new panel pages with path that do not include named placeholders. The problem only arises when i use named placeholders for the panel page path like www.example.com/taxonomy/term/%term/content-type/how-to.
I am not sure whether a page can be created with this type of url but i think it should work.
Heres the expor of panel page

kawal commentedI figured the problem. When i disabled the pathauto module that panel page is working. So its because of the pathauto module.
The url which with pathauto module is /category/food/content-type/how-to when accessed as /taxonomy/term/1/content-type/how-to when pathauto module disabled then that panel page works.
Any solutiont to this ?

merlinofchaos commentedpathauto assigns a single alias, not a group of alias.
Let's say you use pathauto or something similar to assign the alias 'foo/bar' to 'taxonomy/term/1'.
This does not automatically assign 'foo/bar/baz' to 'taxonomy/term/1/baz' -- that's just not how the aliasing system works internally.
The subpath_alias module can help you assign additional aliases to take careof this problem.

kawal commentedYeah i realized that.
I'll manually alias those urls or will give subpath module a try.
Thanks for your help and offcourse for this great module.
