I've looked and can't find any documentation for Panels. There doesn't seem to be anything much in the Drupal forums either.
I'm very new to Drupal and I have a couple of basic questions that I'm hoping someone can answer.
I have installed Panels on Drupal 5.x. When I 'Add' a new panel there's a 'General Information' section right at the top of the page that has fields for a 'CSS ID' and 'Path'. I'd like to know what these are and how I should use them.
I see the exampe for 'Path' which is: 'path/to/page' but that means nothing to me. Why do I want a path? How is it used?
Thanks in advance.

Nathan005 commentedthe path is the path on your site.
ex
you would need to have clean urls and paths enabled in order make it that clean (otherwise it node/?q=#)# being the node number - they are created in order
the css id you can leave blank if you want and it automatically inserts a css style, but the reason it is there is to allow you to customize your panels page and layout. If you don't know anything about css files you can learn more at w3schools If you have worked with them and you want to edit it then simply use your ftp client to copy one the default css files to you computer and edit it (make sure you rename it and leave the original). They are found in the folder that you placed in drupal to install the module - /modules/panels/layouts/*.css. They are named pretty obvious.
hope that helps
