I have found it strange that pageroute/nodefamily prevents me from editing a content type - if content type "webform" is selected as a content type, then any link node/98/edit displays my pageroute. If I change node type to "page", i can edit webform but again going to node/99/edit (my "page" has id 99), pageroute is displayed

in short, once node type assigned, the node type cant be edited

and I can't delete the Content type on the pageroute settings (set it to "---") as it was before

setting to -- should be fixed already. If you assign a content type to a pageroute, the pageroute is supposed to be used for editing these nodes. So you should add a node edit form to your pageroute.
