The ORCID API module aims to act a library to provide integration with the ORCID repository using the public and private apis (for claiming and provisioning purposes).
Features
- Claim existing ORCID.
- Search and claim ORCID based on search criteria (such as email).
- Provision and claim new ORCID (if you have access to Member API).
- Drush integration to claim and/or create new ORCIDs for users via the orcid_integration_provision module
Configuration functions for the module allow an ORCID member with a Creator membership to enter ORCID credentials. (Please note: this will not be useful for a Trusted Party ORCID membership.)
Roadmap
- Integration with @partyka's orcid module. His implementation of the API is excellent (though his focus is somewhat different). This module will eventually require his module to act as the core api on which this works. This work is looking into October and beyond and be part of the 2.x branch.
