I don't see a delete link for any OpenX Zone that I added on the page "admin/settings/openx" or for the blocks that it created. Am I missing something? Where do you delete them when we need to?

You can't delete individual blocks from OpenX. You can just delete the number of blocks that OpenX module provides. Go to the admin/settings/openx page and decrease the number of zones OpenX provides, and it will delete blocks as necessary.
