In the current version of openfed, the role 'Builder' does not have the 'administer site configuration' permission, this should be possible otherwise the site's name cannot be changed (which a Builder certainly should be able to do)
I think we might also want to give this to the "Configurator" role

stefan.r commentedThe administer site configuration role is used in Drupal 7 as a superuser permission. It is used in contrib modules to identify administrators and in core it allows one access to not only the Site information page but to many other config pages.
Upon discussion with bdeclercq the only requirement for the Configurator and Builder roles is to access the Site information page. As such we could instead create a new permission "edit site information" and use a
hook_menu_alterto give these users access to the Site information page.bart.hanssens, sound good to you?

stefan.r commentedUpon discussion with bart.hanssens we will handle this using the Custom Permissions module

stefan.r commentedThis has been set up in the 1.3 branch, needs further testing.
stefan.r commentedReverted changes. Upon further discussion builder and configurator will not be able to access Site Information and instead they will request for Fedict to do this in a ticket.
