Babou commentedThe error reported in #2090067: Drush fra -y fails (comment #12) is due to this update.
2.5 does the same.
Going back to 2.3 for the time beeing.
bart.hanssens commentedOk, keep an eye on the issue, hopefully someone writes a patch
Comment #5
Babou commentedLooks like the isssue will be fixed in the next release of Drush.
As explained here it was pushed to the 5.x and 6.x master branches.
As seen here, the commit is packed in the RC1 but unfortunately it is not yet available on pear.drush.org
Comment #6
Babou commentedAnd it looks like there is a workaround by using
drush dl rules; drush updatedb. It's not really handy but if it works, maybe we can use it until the new version of Drush is released.

bart.hanssens commentedSee also #2101219: Problems after upgrading to Rules 7.x-2.5 and #2101179: Upgrade from 7.x-2.3 to 7.x-2.5 gives "Fatal error: Class 'RulesConditionHandlerBase' not found"
Babou commentedThe Rules module page gives a workaround to fix the issue.
Drush 6.1 doesn't resolve anything and the migration has to be done manually. I don't expect a real fix anytime soon.
I think that you should do the update to the 2.5 manually and then hope for the best with their future releases.

stefan.r commentedUpon discussing with bart.hanssens we will go with the approach mentioned in #10. The only thing this means is that any people running version 1.1 or older will have to run these commands before updating to any version higher than 1.1:
The impact is minor as we have only 2 sites which will be affected by this. New installations will not be affected.
We have upgraded the Rules module to version 2.5 and are marking this as fixed.
