Curious if there is a way to reply to an email notification of a change - that will then add a simple comment to that node.

Yes! Enable the Open Atrium Mailhandler module in the External Apps section of the Apps page (Admin menu, then select Apps). You will need to configure some IMAP mailbox for open atrium to watch for incoming replies. I did a blog last year: http://www.phase2technology.com/blog/using-email-with-open-atrium-2/ on how to set this up.

It does not work for Drupal comments. It only works for Discussion Replies within Open Atrium.

mpotter, I am testing this function. I can't seem to get the emails into an OA discussion. I checked the email account and the replies are there. In admin/config/system/cron, I manually ran both i Feeds / Default cron handler and Job Scheduler / Default cron handler and still do not see the email reply tests.
Can you help?
