When enabling Locale Module "Recent Activity" View shows only empty rows

Problem/Motivation

When one switches on Locale module in order to translate Open Atrium to another language, there is a problem with the "Recent Activity" view. It does not show any content inside the rows anymore. The user picture is shown, and empty rows, but no text.

It happens that this view is the most important one for any Space, as it holds all content. After switching on locale, it looks like this:

Is this an Organic groups problem? From the view itself it is hard to tell what is going on. Is there any custom code run on it?
