Right now, OA Discussion shows a summary of all the files in the discussion in the right sidebar. Clicking on one of these files opens with Media Colorbox. This is great for images! But not very usable for other types of files.
Here is a screenshot of what the lightbox currently looks like for a text file:

Something "awesome" could be, for example: showing an oversized icon representing the file and a "Download" link.
This would be useful in many parts of Open Atrium, including OA Discussion and OA Work Tracker.

dsnopekI just used Media Colorbox on a project:
http://drupal.org/project/media_colorbox
And it does something awesome for audio and video! I haven't tried documents yet, though.

mpotter commentedYou need to go into the Colorbox configuration page and set it from "Default" to "Example 1". That is done by default in the later versions of OA2. So closing this for OA2. If you want changes to how Media Colorbox handles documents, that should be posted to the Media Colorbox module issue queue.

dsnopekHeh, this issue is from before the Open Atrium 2.0 release. :-) It's awesome that Open Atrium is using Media Colorbox now - it wasn't when I created this issue.
