mpotter commentedThis is actually a core Drupal bug as described here #1087250: Custom logo and favicon stored in private filesystem if it is the default. Can't tell if the patch in that thread is for D7 or D8 but somebody might want to review it and see if it works for Open Atrium 2.
So yes, since OA2 activates the private file system by default, it triggers this bug. Rather than using the Drupal UI to upload an image, you should try just using FTP to put your logo into your public files directory and then update the URL path for the logo and favicon.

dijup tuladhar commentedI had the same problem.
you can change your file systema and make it public, it will work.
mpotter commentedNo, you shouldn't change your default file system to public. That will negate any sort of attachment privacy in Open Atrium 2. As mentioned in #1, you just need to move the logo image into the public directory.

hosais commentedTo me the easiest way is just upload first, and then change the path (Path to custom logo) "private" to "public" and then save. then it is done. (Of course, you need to copy the file to the public file folder).

hosais commentedSorry, I was wrong. #5 would not solve the problem. I mis-intepret the result.

cgove commentedI followed the instructions on this thread. I uploaded the file to the public folder and manually added the path to it "sites/default/files/logo.png" but the logo remains the one at "/profiles/openatrium/modules/contrib/oa_core/modules/oa_widgets/openatrium-powered.png" . Should I be changing this logo in another location? The custom shortcut icon change works as expected. I've cleared site and local caches.
Is this a bug or should I be doing something differently?

mpotter commentedIn the rc1 release, you need to set the Site Logo in the /admin/openatrium/setting page. It no longer uses the default Drupal site logo. You upload it on that page and then uncheck the "Use default logo" option. It also supports stretched banners that fill the full width of the header.

chikaramike commentedWhat about uploading of favicon?
druplicate commentedBroken favicons are the same issue.
Just put the favicon.ico file in:
sites/default/files/favicon.icoThen go to admin/appearance/settings page, global settings tab, and under "Shortcut icon settings" uncheck "Use the default shortcut icon" and add the path under "Path to custom icon" as:
sites/default/files/favicon.icoComment #11
sea4 commentedthanks for this, I couldn't find it anywhere in the docs.
You guys are great. the more I learn, the more impress I am with OA2
