Open Commerce Kickstart is a fork of the popular Commerce Kickstart eCommerce distribution.
Purpose
The only difference between Commerce Kickstart and this distribution is that users are given the option to enable or disable advertising and behavioural analytics software when installing Open Commerce Kickstart.
As of December 4, 2013, if you do not agree to the usage of such software, you are prevented from installing Commerce Kickstart. With Open Commerce Kickstart, we have removed these softwares so you are not forced to view advertisements and have your clicks tracked while administrating your website. We view this as more aligned with our privacy rights.
This distribution will not make any other modifications, and will otherwise be exactly the same as Commerce Kickstart.
Releases
To keep the synchronization between Commerce Kickstart and Open Commerce Kickstart as simple as possible, only the latest dev release will be available for now.
As of December 23, 2013, Commerce Kickstart 7.x-2.11 will allow you to opt-out of downloading any content from 3rd parties.
