DigiScape commentedStrange you are not able to replicate
I tested another theme and and upgraded ok
Also tested upgrading OM on 2 servers with same result, and still ocurs with latest 7.x.2.11

danielhonrade commentedOk, I got it... I didn't see it before because I was looking at the wrong project :(
The problem here is that if the .info file doesn't live on the main folder, om/om.info, update manager breaks the update, which results to om/om/om.info
This is a common problem with modules and themes with infos inside a subdirectory, here's the issue http://drupal.org/node/986616, I think it is a bug on Drupal core update manager, but in the mean time you can just manually update it, I'll follow up on this issue on what they have decided to do, but I vote for more intelligent update manager rather than we all move our .info on the main project directory.
Same issue with Omega, Fusion, Genesis, Adaptive themes which all placed their .info in a subdirecory

danielhonrade commentedOr you can just apply this patch for D7 core for now :D
