I have the following configuration:

Drupal (Commons) 6.22
Organic Groups + OG Access 6.x-2.1
Revisioning 6.x-3.13
Workflow + Workflow Access 6.x-1.5
Module Grants 6.x-3.7
OG Workflow 6.x-1.0

I have enabled OG Workflow but node editing permissions set in Workflow Access are not being recognised. Authors can't edit nodes when they are in an editable state (according to Workflow Access perms). This is only an issue for nodes posted in a group, nodes not posted in a group can be edited by the author according to the Workflow Access permissions. I have rebuilt node permissions and cleared the cache to no avail.

Any suggestions on how to debug/resolve this?

I should note that this is only an issue for unpublished nodes. If I update the status to published in the DB the author can edit as per the workflow access permissions.

An additional problem, posts not posted within a group can't be edited per the Workflow Access permissions when og_workflow is enabled. Disable og_workflow and those non-group posts can be edited by the user with edit access.

@ericaordinary the problem with unpublished nodes is not related with this module. Workflow module doesn't deal well with unpublished nodes and if you use Workflow, there is actually no reason to use the unpublished core state: you can create a similar one on a workflow.

As to #2, do you mean that Workflow access permissions are ignored on nodes unrelated to Organic Groups? That sounds like a critical bug. Can you please provide more information?

@encarte - I lost track of this issue and I think we ended up disabling OG Workflow altogether for the project. If I have a bit of time I'll set up a sandbox to try and reproduce the problems I was having and provide some more info.
