The code references a JS file that doesn't exist:
drupal_add_js(ASM_SELECT_MODULE_PATH .'/nodereference_asmselect.js');

The module seems to work anyway though.
Is that js really missing or should that code read different?

Ok, I see that the file has been added to the CVS. You should probably create a new release so that everyone gets it.

Ok, I guess this really is a duplicate of #337399: NodeReferenceAsmSelect.fn.termIdFiltersChange is not a function. I missed it first as I thought that problem was fixed already. But the missing file isn't in rc3.
