The documentation is not clear on this.

The setting is set to automatically create the view, but I never see it created.

I'm using Views 2 and the dev version of nodequeue.

Any thoughts, tips in the right direction?

I just committed this fix. Marked #744330: Nodequeue not creating views or blocks as a dupe of this. This should be available in the dev release when it re-rolls, and in a new official release which I expect to make this week.
