It would be great if "Nodequeue" could be more of an "Entityqueue" in Drupal 7. I'd like to be able to add users to a queue. Perhaps we could develop a smartqueue by role module, as well.

Is the task of allowing entities other than standard nodes a pretty hefty request? I'm sure I don't having the coding knowledge to do it, but I'm happy to help with testing, etc.

Yes, this is probably the future of nodequeue for 7.x, but I think that it can only happen in a 7.x-3.x branch and we're quite far from that right now..
