I recently upgraded to the DEV version for the multiple parent functionality and lost the ability to create a View of only the parent nodes. In the 1.x version there was a View Filter called "Node Hierarchy: Parent Node". In the 2.x-DEV version this is missing and the previous View that I used simply says "Missing or Invalid Views Handler"

Is there any way to create a View of Parent Nodes only is 2.x-DEV?

Hopefully this has been addressed in #1263918: Views improvement: documentation, filters, and default arguments. In trying to clean up issues, I'm marking this as a duplicate of the #1086062: Add option in Views to filter out all nodes that are childs.
