This is working great for user 1 but I dont seem to be able to get it working for any other roles. I believe I have the permissions correct access to node types and node Hierarchy permissions set but I have no menus available to create children.

any ideas?

It appears that people can only add children to their own parent posts is there a way to allow users to add children to other users posts without giving them access to edit the parent item?

Subscribing, as I seem to have a similar problem.

I think that in my case it's caused the the use of Revisioning / Workflow. Setting up an approval process involves limiting users' permissions in User Management, as the Revisioning module takes care of these instead. And I suspect that's where the problem lies.

Edit: Strangely it seems that this has now been fixed by upgrading to 6.x-2.x, then uninstalling 6.x-2.x and reverting to 6.x-1.3...
