Permissions listed under the grant tab don't carry down to child nodes created by end-users. This module is perfect for departmental content management, otherwise, and a simple patch allowing permission to optionally be preserved within the child node (or always be preserved) would be of great use. I'm looking in to how to do this, but I'm new to the Drupal API.
