I would like to create a view in table format which lists out essentially all my nodes. I would like the columns in the table to include
(i) whether or not the node is a parent/child or both and
(ii) another column which indicates the node title of the parent (or child)
As such I can have a master list to essentially see all my nodes and their parent child relationships. I think it is difficult, especially if parent/children are of same content type to know which nodes are parents and which are children. It is also difficult then to have to go in to the node to see the children or to have a argumented view where you have to specify the parent id (this assumes you know the parent id and also limits the display to one parent unless I again know all the parents and dynamically pass in to the argument all the parent ids).
Maybe there is a way to do this but I couldn't get it to work and I searched through the tix but couldn't find anything either.
Thanks!

markhalliwellAgain, I'm a little perplexed as to what it is you're trying to accomplish. Perhaps I'm simply having an off day.
Meh, anyways, isn't this functionality already viewable in the menu system (?q=admin/build/menu-customize/primary-links, or where ever you have your NH pointing to)? It not only tells you if they're a child or parent and it gives the the ability to click on the title of the page to go to it.

djween commentedI appreciate your quick response.
Yes, technically that does provide one way to present the relationship. However, the content is actually not purposed to be used in the sites navigation menus and I am looking for more descriptive/flexible views for the end user using VIEWS. For example I have a table styled view that lists all of a particular users content that s/he created. I also have draggable views for the top level content so the user can order that too. Sample table columns would be thumbnail, node title, a short description, order, and other relevant content or actionable links such as view/edit. I would like to add 2 additional columns, something along the lines of:
(i) whether or not the node is a parent/child or both and
(ii) another column which indicates the node title of the parent (or child)
I hope that helps clarify!

markhalliwellSo essentially you'd like NHV to provide additional fields that show the relationship status of the current node?
If that's the case, I certainly can see the value and have marked this ticket for future dev in the 3.x branch. I personally do not have a lot of back end coding experience with Views yet, so I do not know when this would be implemented.
For the time being, I suppose the answer would be unfortunately there isn't a way that I am aware of.
You might try taking a look at the following module:
http://drupal.org/project/views_customfield
This module allows you to insert custom PHP code into your field results. You could then call some NH functions that could determine the parent/child nid and title.
