Hello,
I can't make Multilingual support work for my node type Comment:
I'm using the default node type created by the node comments module.
node type settings:
Multilingual support: Enable (without translation)
Extended language support: Extended - All defined languages will be allowed.
Synchronize translations: Nothing, I don't really know what is it.
I don't know if it's a bug or not... Multilingual support works well with others node types.
Any idea?
Thanks :)

joostvdl commentedI have the same issue with the 1.x-dev version. Comments aer saved with the default languange and not with the current language.
joostvdl commentedin #319887: Assign nodecomments to parent language there is a patch for comments that are childeren. But I don't find in any other piece of code that there is support for multiple languanges.

thekayra commentedsame issue. subscribing.
Junro commentedwith another node type, I've got the same problem:
Nodes are displaying with all languages...
Junro commentedDamm we are still newbies!
You can set a default language filter in your comment view...
thekayra commentedI thought the problem was not being able to select the language of the review. I still have this problem.
Junro commentedHum you're maybe right, I don't remember, I will check it again.
thekayra commentedJust to make sure that we are talking about the same thing:
When I create a new comment with 6.x-2.0-beta1, I can not choose the language of the comment and that is possible with 6.x-1.2-rc2.
Junro commentedWhy not using 6.x-1.2-rc2??
You're problem is not the same ...
You have to enable Multilingual support on the comment node type settings.
thekayra commentedThat was the first thing I tried Junro.
If what you meant with Multilingual support was not what I and joostvdl could you explain a little better?
Meanwhile I will open another issue.
Junro commentedOk, i've Comment node module disable since few months. I'm going to enable it again today, and see what was my original problem.
Don't open a new issue, we should have the same problem.
Such a shame this module is not maintained, I really need Multilingual support with Comments.
I was telling me something anyway... Why we should use this module? We can create a node type comment ourself and display it as we want on nodes, using Comment drupal core. Multilingual support will work.

crea commentedDoes the problem still exist ?

Junro commentedHello,
Glad to see this module have a new maintainer! Thanks! :)
I'm coming back to that module. Tested it again.
Multilingual support for node comments stil doesn't work:
Comment content type settings
Multilanguage options:
Set current language as default for new content.
Require language (Do not allow Language Neutral).
Lock language (Cannot be changed).
--> All checked
Extended language support:
Normal - All enabled languages will be allowed.
Synchronize translations:
Comment settings checked
view nodecomments settings
To display only nodes (here comments) in the current language of the site, you have to add a filter:
Nodecomments: Add filters
Node translation: Language
Operator: Is one of
Language: Default site language
That's it. With another content type, every works fine.
But adding the filter below in the node comments view, no more comments is show. I tried many things but It doesn't work.
Why? Maybe it's because we don't have the node/add/comment page like usually. (and it's better like this).
So If you need more informations, I'm here :)
