Don't really know if it's possible.

I'd like to use this module possibilities in a node reference field in the users profile.
Everything works fine in a content type, but I don't see the options when I create the reference field via the user profile.

This module is designed to attach itself to node references in nodes only.. since it's a NODE access module.
What you're trying to do doesn't make sense. There is no "user entity access" system in Drupal.
There should be, but... Drupal core is cobbled together from the parts of headless chickens

I knew something was weird in what I was trying to accomplish.
Since Drupal 7 gives access to fields, I gave it a try.

Also seeking this functionality, surprised that this is only on node level. Any suggestions for alternate plugins?
