This module conflicts with the title module. When calling a node via the /title URL, which are available through the title module, users can access nodes, although they do not have proper permissions. Acessing the node via the normal /node URL will however work. :)

This is (was?) actually a bug with URL aliases for nodes (path.module). If this is still a problem, please file an issue at http://drupal.org/node/add/project_issue/drupal/bug with "Drupal" as the project and "path.module" as the component.
