As detailed here, I need to limit the quantity of a node type that have a specific date assigned to them. Another way to phrase it: If there are already 6 'Task X' nodes with the date of 4/4/09, I need to deny the creation of another node assigned to that date. Any help would be appreciated, this is the last piece I need for this software.

Thanks much.

How will the date be determined? Is it more of a daily thing or is it just certain dates that you have check?

Nevermind, I just re-read you post. Give some time to make a rule.

I would have to add some functionality in order to do this. I'll try to get it in for the next release.

Try setting up this:

Use numeric comparisons for the date. If you are using tokens you may have to have three conditions.
Inside the Set the limit for the node type make sure to pick a daily time limit.

You could also set any other conditions as well.. node type, user role, etc...

You could import the attached rule and modify as needed. I tested this on alpha3 and it was working. I am also using tokens so you will need that module enabled.
