When using the Edit Module for Drupal 7, along with Node Embed, I am given the error message:

The filter "node_embed" has no type specified! This is required for the Edit module. Please consult Edit module's README.

The quick edit mode of Edit module still works on nodes that have not utilized node embed. When node embed IS used on a field, however, they become uneditable by the Edit module.

Here is what the Edit module README says on the matter:

Q: Why do I get a 'The filter "<filter name>" has no type specified!'' error?
A: For Edit module to allow for in-place editing of "processed text" fields
(i.e. text passed through Drupal's filter system, via check_markup()), it
needs to know about each filter what type of filter it is. For simpler text
formats (i.e. with simpler filters), the unfiltered original may not have to
be retrieved from the server. See http://drupal.org/node/1817474 for details.

Looking at the link referenced in the quoted README text, I am not sure if these types are only utilized D8, or if there is a D7 equivalent. Can anyone with a bit more familiarity comment and help solve this?

I've already implemented support for this module in Edit module now: #2172029: Specify filter type for biblio_filter_reference, biblio_filter_inline_reference, ckeditor_link_filter, filter_footnotes, node_embed, oembed, smart_paging_filter and smart_paging_filter_autop.
