I requested append to body for the taxonomy term jdate field and got various results. For some nodes there was no date and for others multiple copies of various dates in a not very useful format e.g.

<snip> ... </snip>
2009-07-03T00:00:00
2009-07-04T00:00:00
2009-07-30T00:00:00
2009-09-11T00:00:00
2009-09-12T00:00:00

In this case I believe the last entry (2009-09-12T00:00:00) is the correct one.

The missing/multiple dates is presumably a bug and it would be nice to be able to specify a date format or, if not, to use one of the standard date formats (e.g. medium) when appending to or replacing the body.

Unfortunately I've now done the conversion and edited the data (only 8 of them thankfully) so I'm unable to repeat the test with the same data.

Can you be more specific, what kind of taxonomy term jdate field?
Is this a field type provided by some custom module?
Or is it a simple date field? If so, why are taxonomy terms involved?

Simple date field appending is now supported in the latest alpha.
