Am I missing something or are there no permissions available?

As adding classes requires knowledge of CSS, I don't want to be exposing this functionality to all roles that can create and edit nodes. I also tried unsuccessfully to selectively turn this off with the simplify module.

I think the solution is to add a custom permission to manage the module functionality so you can control it by role.
