Support menu block for cck fields

I'm using multisteps with cck fields only and I would like to use the menu block either. unfortunately there is only support for fieldgroups.

would it be possible to expand this to cck fields too? there could be a checkbox in the field configuration 'Use title for menu block' and then this shows the link to this step with the fields title. would be a great improvement imho.
