breaks with jquery 1.9

Took me a while to figure this one out but using jquery update module and jquery 1.9 breaks the interface. No input boxes beyond Title appear. Using jquery 1.7 or 1.8 solved problem.

I don't know if this needs to be solved but it may help someone else who encounters a lack of input boxes and is wondering why.
