I'm using the latest dev release in the 6--2 branch, so I'm filing this under 6.x, but this issue is for when using drush mbdl in a D7 (rc2) environment.
When I run drush mbdl to get the hook files for the first time, I get a series of error messages, followed by what seems to be a success message (Hook files have been downloaded to public:/hooks and processed). However, trying to run drush mb to create a new module fails.
It looks like there's a typo on line 35 of includes/common_version_7.inc that causes mbdl to put the hooks directory in the root install of Drupal (web/public:/hooks), rather than in the files directory (web/sites/default/files/hooks). After fixing this and rerunning drush mbdl, everything seems to work.
