I have a desktop site and a mobile site.

When users hits the desktop site, they are redirected to the mobile site. In certain numerous places on the mobile site, I have links back to the main site. These links do not have "?device=desktop" attached to the URL.

Ideally, when a user clicks on these links back to the main site, I want them to remain on the main site.

For e.g. a link to the main site will be something like "Visit our full site for more info".

When a user clicks on these links they are taken back to the main website and are not redirected back to the mobile site. This is fine. However some versions of black berry throw an error when you click on these links. Such models are 9800 and 9870 and the Torch as well. It does not happen on all Torches, but only some...weird.

The error is "500 internal error. Please contact your website administrator if this problem persist". That is not the exact words of the error because I was not able to re-create the problem myself, I only realised this when some users reported the problem.

This problem does not occur on the iphone.

The only way around this is to add "?device=desktop" to all links to the main site from the mobile site.

I don't think this is really a bug because this is how the module is designed to work right?

But I can't figure out why this problem only happens on some blackberrys and not other blackberrys. Also, the problem does not occur on iphone too.

thoughts?

I'd thought I would post this here in case other users may have experienced this. Maybe it can be added to the documentation if you see it necessary.

Thx for reporting this but (I'll mark this as a bug).

I guess this will have something to do with setting cookies... I'll have to try with Blackberry simulators and hopefully I can reproduce the error.

Is this still an issue with the latest 6.x-2.x?

Please upgrade to the latest version of Mobile Tools and see if your problems persist.
