I'm using the CustomError module to handle logins. Sometimes, going to "m.mysite.com" brings up the page in the mobile template, sometimes in the non-mobile template. Sometimes, going to the site from the desktop brings up the mobile templte.
Once the login is processed, everything's OK for either type of device.
I've added some PHP to the 403 customerror page to display $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] and it appears that the host is correctly coordinated with the template. That is, when I see the non-mobile template, http_host is not showing "m.mysite.com" as the host.
I think this may be a caching issue, but I'm not sure. It may also have to do with the order in which the various hooks are executed.
Is anyone else using customerror to force logins and seeing anything like this?
