I am migrating data from a website that is already d7. We had to redesign the website to fit better with drupal commerce and now are attempting to migrate the content over.
When I perform the migration, all the categories associated with the article content type only show numbers and not the term name. The terms migrate no problem but the article doesn't seem to connect the term id it has to the terms already migrated.
I attached a screenshots to show you how I have it set.
Also the image I had set in the previous site image field, it doesn't seem to come over as well.

mikeryanYour screenshots show the basic field mappings, but not the critical subfields immediately below. But I can still tell exactly what's happening - you have the sourceMigration set to translate old tids to new tids, but you have not set the default value of field_categories:source_type to 'tid', which is necessary to tell Migrate that the incoming value is already a tid (the default is to interpret it as a term name).
The image migration problem is similar - since you've got the source migration which is producing a file ID (fid), you need to set the default value of field_image:file_class to 'MigrateFileFid'.
