Hello Team ,
I did migration from Drupla 7.50 to Drupla 8.1.8 on test system
I did using both drush as well as migrate Ui, both gave me same result.

First and foremost problem which I am not able to solve is front page.

Front page is different than actual one and when I click one one of the link on that, than it redirect to actual front page.
I have attached the file showing both the snap shorts.

Alos only few core modules got migrated.
Some core modules not migrated though enabled on both site.
None of the non-core modules migrated though enabled on both the sites.

could it because of views...
I was going through all that is migrated, I see views aren't be migrated.

I tried doing following:

Home >> Administration >> Configuration >> System(basic site setting)

in that when I try live deault front as : website_url , then it gives error as : The path '/user/login' is either invalid or you do not have access to it.

See the attached snaphot.

Where as the default (after migration it was set to) : website/node ...which was leading to wrong page.

UPDATE :

I solved by allowing permissions to various modules as administrator.I guess mainly related to user and login modules.
