How to specify microdata for homepage or blocks?

I have successfully added microformats to some content types and fields, but I can't see where I could specify some microformats for the home page or for data on some blocks. For example, in the bottom of the page there is a notice about web property, and it would be nice to be able to mark it using https://schema.org/LocalBusiness but this text is being added from a block and it is plain text. Any hint?
