I've selected "Appended page title as an URL. " but the title is not a link. If I select both "Appended page title as an URL. " AND " Append page title to breadcrumb " the title is displayed TWICE. The first instance being a link, and the second not.

How am I meant to get this to work as it should?

Hello new123456789,

Everything looks to be working fine.
If you select "Append page title to breadcrumb" then the Page Title is appended to the Breadcrumb and if you also select "Appended page title as an URL." then you will see a link on it, linking it back to the same page.

Please try this on default drupal theme, and if you still see the issue, please provide more info as to what all modules you are using, theme and environment.
