I've tried the dev and release for 6.x on a particular site and memcache is never set, but it's only for a particular site. It works fine on other Drupal 6 sites we have. Where should I look to see why memcache isn't working? I'm presuming it's not the fault of memcache, but something is preventing anything other than MySQL cache tables from being used for site cache, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure it out and I'm not even sure where to start.

Never mind, found it: I moved the settings.php config above "include './sites/all/modules/domain/settings.inc';" and now it's working.
