I use views to display a gallery of videos directly from youtube but the player does not show anything. I am using the mediaplayer general formatter and format the field as a media to make a gallery. It is a mistake of mine? or is yet to fix it?.
If the "my field url" format as the mediaplayer works but this does not get to the gallery.
sorry for my bad english.
Thanks, Travist for this great module.

kardave commentedHi,
I have the same problem. I use a view to display a slideshow with videos. It worked with one of the 2.x-aplha versions, but now with beta1 no longer. I switched to simple list from slideshow, and reinstalled mediafront, but none helped.
As I can see, the problem is with multiple videos: if I reduce the displayed items to 1, the video loads just fine.
I use media module for my field, but also tried simple text link with the same results.
In chhrome console I have this error:
"Uncaught TypeError: Object [object Object] has no method 'setVolume' osmplayer.compressed.js:131
Thaks, and keep up the great work Travis!

cherrysuede commentedSame issue here - plays youtube fine for one file within a node
put as a playlist in views - it hangs.
using dev version from May 3
Comment #3
jaymallison commentedYup completely broken on beta1. Brought my views dev for this to a halt.
I see a bunch of these errors in the Chrome console: Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded
And loading a view with the media player on it just makes firefox hang and eventually crash.
All of my videos are brought in through media_youtube, I've assigned the field types through the fields in the view, and my view type is Media Player. It won't even load the thumbnail for the videos now. I do get the title of each though.

jaymallison commentedAfter a bit more debugging, It looks like the JSON output under the /mediafront_getplaylist/[viewname] isn't getting the "media" part of the JSON output injected into it from the view.
jaymallison commentedFigured it out.
This is actually -not- broken. The issue is that it worked before by assigning the media file twice in the field list. Once for the media content and once for the image/thumbnail. The system now only needs one field specified to accomplish both tasks. It will auto-load the "preview" setting for the thumbnail from the media file presets under config.
So, all you have to do is remove the 2nd field of the media in question and make sure that the first one is setup to be your "media" and it'll start working again.
This is a documentation issue now. I know the docs are a WIP.

enjoylife commentedI have this issue too. I'm the person who wrote the documentation in the readme, so I want to make sure this is corrected.
Jaymallison, can you walk me through what settings you have so that others can get this working too? Is it the content type settings we need to adjust or the views settings. Thanks so much for your help.

jaymallison commentedFirst off it's important to note that if you are having trouble with a particular youtube video playing through mediafront, check this issue: http://drupal.org/node/1561868, this won't be a problem for long as I'm sure Travis will get that fixed in dev shortly.
The content type settings have no affect on views. They are only used for the entity display.
I have not tested this with the functionality mentioned by Travis regarding a plain text field and a youtube URL. I'm currently using Media (7.x-1.x) and Media: Youtube (7.x-1.x).
For views, youtube and MF to work, you only need to add two fields to views. The content title and your video field. Go into the media front settings for each and assign the title as title and the video as media > media content. Media Front will automatically pull the thumbnail for the playlist from the cached thumbnail provided by media_youtube.
I would go into more detail (there is soooo much detail to making everything work really nice) but I don't have access to the project I'm working on from home. I can post more on Monday if needed.

enjoylife commentedThanks. This is extremely helpful. My configuration is a with a plain text field. It's good to know that the Media and Media: Youtube configuration works.
travist commentedThis should now be fixed with the latest version. I found the bug here and believe I fixed it, but please let me know otherwise.
Travis.

enjoylife commentedYes, Youtube videos (with the field method) can successfully be brought into Views. I tested this on beta2 and the most recent dev. However, the playlist says "Sample Title" for each of the videos and does not display a thumbnail. When I click on sample title, it takes me to the videos in the playlist.
