When going from regular to fullscreen the video starts from beginning also the volume goes down to 0. Coming back from fullscreen to normal screen does the same thing. I'm sure others have noticed this or is it just me?

Edit: above mentioned behavior only occurs in Firefox (my version 6.0.1)
-works fine in IE, Chrome and Safari

yes me too, now i'm on Firefox version 6.0.2 with latest flash player.

This is because the player is using Flash in Firefox, and Flash does not like to be reflowed in Firefox. This is a long standing issue with Firefox and flash. This is something that I am not sure I am going to be able to fix since it is a browser issue.

You can, however, upload an OGG file to the same filefield, and Firefox will play that over the mp4 which should resize just fine. Let me know if this works.

I'm only using youtube links for media. This could be a big setback imo. Also the "Playback Quality" option only works in Firefox, perhaps I will start a new issue for this. Please let me know if anything can be done to solve the fullscreen problem. I love this module and would really like to continue to use it. Thank you.

Travis, I was over at mediafront.org checking out the Dash Player and it works very well in Firefox, i'm not sure if its because its playing a file from the mediafront server or a external link like youtube. Is there any chance that Dash Player will make its way to D7 with this module?

The Dash Media Player is an all-Flash media player. What this means is that in order to get full screen, Flash simply takes over and takes over the whole computer screen... with the OSM, I have to do a simulated full screen which only takes up the browser window. So, the bug with Firefox is that when you take a Flash player ( which OSM uses to fallback to play mp4 in Firefox ), and resize it to be the browser width, Flash resets. I can't control it and I have spent countless hours trying to fix it... The only solution I have come up with thus far is to use a Flash based player when viewing mp4 videos in Firefox browser. I already did this work within the Shockblack template with the Shockplayer Flash skin ( in the preset settings ). This fixes it for that template only, but I have yet to make the other templates work the same way since it has to be done on a per template basis.

Really a pain, but this is just how it is with Firefox.

Travis thank you for the explanation. Instead of using youtube links I decided to upload an mp4 clip and it works just fine, but youtube videos still have the problem where flash resets like you mentioned even using the Shockblack template with Shockplayer Flash skin. So I'm assuming when viewing youtube videos the player does not use flashplayer. Player behavior remains same. I had swtiched to 7.x-2.x-dev, does the template only works for certain version? Thank you.

The bug is marked with 'solved' in bugzilla with target 'mozilla 13' - with almost one release every month it could go fast.

http://www.lunarclips.com/content/introducing-projekktor-drupal does also reload the flash-plugin in firefox when switching to fullscreen but the sound isnt reset to zero.

Are you sure that the sound-reset is related to the firefox bug?

I just checked this bug in Firefox 12.0 and yes, the sound reset when going to full-screen. I am using 7.x-1.5 and the default template. Upgrading Firefox to 13.0 fixes this problem. The result is the audio and video continue where they left off and the sound remains at the same level from the page to full-screen. Firefox has committed their fix to the bug from #10.
