Please advise if this is the correct area to post this.
Using:
- Drupal 7.29
- jQuery Update - jQuery 1.8 is selected for Admin pages
- Media, File Entity 7.x-2.0-alpha3
- CKEditor 4.4.2 via the WYSIWYG module.
When:
Adding existing item (ie, an image) into the body content of a node using the Media Browser button. Full HTML text format is selected with "Convert Media tags to markup" enabled.
If I select an image or any other file from the "Library" or "My Files" tab, press "Submit", choose any or no file display mode on the next screen and click "Submit" again, nothing is inserted into the editor. However, works as expected on a bonafide media field, just not direct WYSIWYG. No console errors or alerts are produced. If I save the node, the result is the same
What I've tried:
- Tried upgrading to the latest dev versions, result is the same.
- Installing an earlier CKEditor version
- Tried changing jQuery versions to 1.10 via jQuery update.
- Tried adjusting the order of items under the Full HTML filter.
Any help appreciated.

mokargas commentedOk I think I found the problem for those that follow after. CKEditor's 4.x feature called ACF. (Allowed Content Filter)
Setting this in a custom module fixed the problem, though it isn't ideal

MaskOta commented#2 worked for me.
Thanks

eyal shalevIf you are using the ckeditor module than the correct hook is hook_ckeditor_settings_alter
Comment #5
anybodyOr simply disable the ACF (advanced content filter) in WYSIWYG admin/config/content/wysiwyg (e.g. admin/config/content/wysiwyg/profile/filtered_html) if it is not needed.

joseph.olstadStraight from the media recipe
# 7. Disable the ACF in the "Advanced Content Filter" section
*OPTIONAL*
If you do want to use / enable the ACF (advanced content filter) for ckeditor you will need to add rules to allow html attributes used by the media module. Here is a suggested configuration, it may need tweaking but is a good baseline for now.
properties;img[title,alt,src,data-cke-saved-src](wysiwyg-break,drupal-content);video[width,height,controls,src](*);source[src,type];audio[controls,src](*);img[*](media-element,file-default);p[class](*);h2[class,style](*);h3[class,style](*);h4[class,style](*);h5[class,style](*);h6[class,style](*);div[class,style](*);span[class,style](*)Comment #7

joseph.olstadFor installation/configuration assistance see the media recipe which is for using media_ckeditor with media however is similar to the configuration used with wysiwyg and media
you can use
either media_ckeditor with media
OR
wysiwyg and media
but not both.
