Currently when we add a file using media (with /file/add) it is uploaded in the root file directory. It would be nice to allow the user to choose the destination folder to keep the filesystem clean without using fields.

file/add is provided by the file_entity module. But the mass import is provided by Media and I would also want to see the possibility to choose destination repository with mass import.

I will try to put a patch for this. (after D6 -> D7 migration of Drupal.org)
