and if possible why not try to implement the list view too as in http://drupal.org/files/issues/01_list_view.jpg

If it is done, it may be better to remove the folders on the left and integrate them in the list (to better emulate a desktop navigation like you see on windows/osx/kde/...)

Not sure why we opened a separate issue, we should just close this in favor of trying to decide what to implement in #865006: Designs for library and wysiwyg .
