pathing rules like in FileField Paths
define where to save the files and other settings with tokens
integration?

the 6.x module works great, the 7.x is in development. would be great if it was integrated.
big sites will require this functionality - or else the library gets unmanageable.

haven't managed it to work yet, might be missing something

test cases:

media 7.x-1.2
file entity paths 7.x-2.x-dev (11-apr-2012)

media 7.x-2.0-unstable6
file entity 7.x-2.0-unstable6
file entity paths 7.x-2.x-dev (11-apr-2012)

no tokens for nodes show on the fields (image+media, file+media)

will look into this some other time

found the admin panel at /admin/structure/file-types/manage/image/file-paths

it's much still a dev work and there's no tokens for nodes i think... and does not allow to attribute these paths to the field instances per content type, only globally. lets see how it develops
