I followed the instructions in the zip file for upgrading from D6 CCK to D7 Fields and Matrix. The CCK Migrate never saw the matrix_custom in the D7 content type. I did edit the Migrate.inc file, but the Migrate page still says "Missing widget: The 'matrix' widget is not available for the field_po_lineitems field, it will be set to the default widget."

Is there any way I can migrate the data via SQL?

Sorry, but I have no idea. I was made co-maintainer 3 years ago to focus on Drupal 7 as the maintainer had no desire for this. That maintainer is longer active on this project and he originally wrote the migrate process.

Would happily accept patches to fix the problem

I'll have to keep my legacy site up for a while until that older data is no longer needed.
